别名蓝珍珠。原产于非洲坦噶尼喀湖。
蓝珍珠鳉体呈长纺锤形，稍侧扁，尾呈叉状，体长可达6厘米左右，体色为宝石蓝色，全身布满金色小斑点，在光照之下，闪闪发光，极其漂亮，一直深受大家喜爱。
蓝珍珠鳉容易饲养，喜高温，适宜饲养水温为24℃ ~ 28℃，喜欢生活在弱酸性水中，喜食动物性活饵。
雌雄鱼容易鉴别，雄性呈深宝石蓝色，而雌鱼则略淡，体型较胖。
